For this week’s tip I am sharing a short four-minute TED Talk that sums up what meaningful travel is all about. When you Study Abroad you have an amazing opportunity to connect with people from very different backgrounds. Together you can challenge each other’s perspectives and stretch your minds much further than you ever could on your own.

This ability to connect more deeply, overcome differences, dispel fears, and make lifelong friendships was the reason that Aziz Abu Sarah cofounded Mejdi Tours. He aims to get people to travel in a new way and promote more tolerance.

Mr. Sarah says, “Imagine with me if the one billion people who travel internationally every year travel like this, not being taken in the bus from one side to another, from one hotel to another, taking pictures from the windows of their buses of people and cultures, but actually connecting with people.”

Take a look at his short talk here:

How you could practice this kind of travel on Study Abroad?
