Use the time you do have abroad to continue questioning and discovering your own answers. I call this concept Finding Your Inner Compass in Study U Abroad. It’s an ongoing process of clarifying your vision, goals and values and living in line with each of them.
In my Top 10 TED Talks for Study Abroad Students I highlight the commencement address given by Steve Jobs who speaks very eloquently on this very concept. He says, “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
