In this TED Talk, Amy Cuddy shares her research on body language, how that impacts our confidence, and ultimately our chances for success. She says that to “fake it till you become it” may not only change other people’s perceptions of you, but also alter your own body chemistry.

How can you use these same principles on Study Abroad?

Practice some of her power poses the next time you need to give a presentation in your second language, meet new people in a large group, ask for help from a stranger while traveling or anything else that may be stressful for you. Force your body to exude confidence first and the rest will follow!
