In this short talk, Killingsworth provides scientific data to demonstrate how staying in the moment can actually make you happier. He shows that if you’re able to focus on what you’re doing in the moment, regardless of the pleasantness of the task, you will be happier.

Instead of thinking about what you’re missing back home or worrying about upcoming trips or exams practice being fully present. Soak in each sound, smell, monument, and conversation you have. By doing this you’ll create fuller experiences and, according to Killingsworth, you’ll be happier for doing so!
