I snapped this photo from the window of my hotel while on holiday in Tarifa, a town on the southernmost tip of Spain. The mountains in the distance are actually in Africa (northern Morocco). This scene reminds me not just of that moment, but of the idea of becoming the observer while traveling.
To me observation is both soaking up everything going on around you – people, sights, sounds, smells, tastes – as well as turning inward to observe how you’re feeling inside. Travel with this kind of awareness becomes a full-sensory experience!
How can you become the observer on Study Abroad?
